Michael J. Lee, CFAMr. Lee primarily devotes his practice to damage assessment, measurement, evaluation, research and related analysis in connection with securities fraud and other complex litigation. Mr. Lee's professional background includes about a decade of experience in the financial services industry, with particular emphasis on securities valuation, securities research and analysis, investment management policies and procedures, compliance investigations, and portfolio management in global equity markets. He provides an assortment of consulting services to many lawyers and law firms representing clients in regulatory and transactional matters and throughout various stages of litigation. Most recently, Mr. Lee served as a consultant regarding damage analysis, loss assessment, and exposure analysis in connection with matters including, but not limited to, Enron, Worldcom, and IPO Laddering. Representative engagements include Damages Resulting from Securities Act Violations (Sections 11, 12); Damages Resulting from Exchange Act Violations (Rule 10b-5); Economic Damages (Lost Profits and Business Interruption); Earn-Out Disputes; Breach of Fiduciary Duty; Suitability Analysis and Studies; Intellectual Property Disputes; and Shareholder Disputes. Mr. Lee is a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia. Mr. Lee has a B.S. in Business Administration with a dual major in Finance and Management from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA, (1993) and a MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business (1999). Education has been supplemented through continuing professional education courses. He also speaks before various professional groups regarding a diverse array of litigation consulting and damage measurement topics.
